GE Advantium Oven

Cafe Advantium CSA1201 Above-the-Cooktop Speed Oven

Model # CSA1201

The CSA1201 is the Cafe version of the above-the-cooktop Advantium, so it carries the cooking faults of an Advantium and the ventilation faults of a range hood at the same time. Weak extraction is often just loaded grease filters, which an owner can wash or replace.

Cooking faults are a different matter. Speedcook depends on halogen lamps and their control circuit, and reaching either means opening a cabinet that holds a high-voltage capacitor. Leave that to a technician; DIY work in there is both dangerous and a risk to warranty coverage.

Cafe Advantium CSA1201 Above-the-Cooktop Speed Oven FAQ

Wash or replace the grease filters first, and if the unit is recirculating rather than ducted outside, change the charcoal filter too. That solves most airflow complaints.

The two functions use different hardware. Microwave heating working while speedcook fails points at the halogen lamp circuit.
