Advantium ovens are installed as over-the-range units, built-in wall units and as part of combination stacks, and GE has produced several generations of them. Because the cavity contains halogen lamps, a convection system and a microwave cooking circuit, a complaint like it is not cooking properly has to be split apart: which of the three systems is actually not working.
We identify the generation from the model number, verify the door switch chain first because a single failed switch will block everything else, then test the lamp circuit, the convection element and the high-voltage side in turn. The high-voltage components are handled with the same discharge procedure we use on any microwave.
Common Advantium Oven Problems
Speedcook mode not browning, or not heating at all
Halogen lamps not lighting during a speedcook program
Convection element or fan not running in oven mode
Fault code appearing as soon as a program starts
Cooling fan running long after the cycle has ended
Door switch fault stopping the cycle from starting

Why Trust Us With Your GE Advantium Oven
- Tested, Not Guessed | We test the suspected advantium oven part before recommending that anything is replaced.
- Parts for Popular Models | Commonly needed advantium oven parts travel with our technicians; less common parts are ordered and the return visit is scheduled before we leave.
- Safety First | Power, water and gas are isolated before we work on your advantium oven, and high-voltage and refrigerant work is handled only by the technician.
- Warranty-Aware Advice | If your advantium oven may still be under manufacturer coverage we tell you, because a repair by anyone other than an authorized technician can put that coverage at risk.
