What 18 Means
GE documents 18 on the UltraFast Combo as the pump filter needing cleaning, and notes it can show up as wet loads or extended dry times. The drain pump filter catches lint, coins and hair; once it is packed, the machine cannot drain quickly enough for the dry stage to work.

🔧 One Safe Check You Can Try
Follow GE's steps: clean the drain pump filter (your model's manual shows the access door and the drain-first procedure - have a towel and shallow tray ready, water will come out), and check the drain hose is not pushed too far down the standpipe, which can siphon. Refit the filter firmly and run a rinse and spin to confirm. Doing this every couple of months is normal maintenance on a combo machine.
