What F81 Means
F81 means the leak sensor battery is low, and GE's remedy is simply to replace it. It is maintenance rather than a fault - but the sensor is what warns you about leaks, so leaving it flat removes the protection.

- Battery not seated correctly
- Wrong battery type fitted
- Failed sensor drawing excessive current

Replace the leak sensor battery with the type specified in your manual, and check the sensor is refitted where it was designed to sit. Note the date so you know when it was last done. The code should clear once the new battery is in.
