Dryers from this generation are mechanically simple and very repairable: elements, fuses, rollers, belts and timers are all still available for most builds. Many are kept in service for exactly that reason.
A blown thermal fuse is a signal, not just a part: the vent needs clearing at the same time or the replacement fuse will fail again. Unplug the dryer before any panel comes off, and never bypass a thermal fuse.
