The GFWN1200 sits in the middle of its series and shares the platform faults: boot hygiene, pump debris and door lock wear. None of these is unusual, and all are cheaper to address early than late.
Unplug the machine and lay towels before opening the pump filter access. Leave the lock, the boot and the suspension to a technician; on front-loaders the boot in particular has to be seated exactly or it leaks.
